What your group is telling you
Every miss pattern points to a specific, fixable cause. Find the shape that looks like your target below.
Shooting Low and Left
The most common miss pattern for a right-handed shooter — and it's a trigger problem, not a gun problem.
Shooting High
Pushing up to "help" the gun through recoil, before the recoil actually arrives.
Vertical Stringing
Tight left-right, loose up-down — almost always a follow-through or breathing issue.
Horizontal Stringing
Tight up-down, loose left-right — usually a grip pressure or trigger-finger placement issue.
Large, Scattered Group
No clear direction to the spread — the fundamentals need work before any one specific fix will help.
